Cronbach Alpha Test Reliability Estimate
Also known as the coefficient alpha. An estimate of the internal consistency of a test, appropriate when items are weighted as well as when they are simply right or wrong. All values between 0.00 and 1.00 are possible. The higher the number, the greater the reliability of the test, according to this statistic, e.g. 0.9 means 90% reliable.
Standard Error of Measurement
A statistical estimate of the probable difference between any student’s score on an exam and his/her true performance, that is, an estimate of the standard deviation of test scores for one student if that student had been tested multiple times.
