Sustainability has emerged as a critical concern across industries, prompting a paradigm shift towards more environmentally friendly practices. In this global movement, the printing industry has recognized its pivotal role in promoting sustainability through various initiatives. By adopting eco-friendly materials, embracing energy-efficient technologies, and implementing responsible waste management strategies, the printing sector is making significant strides towards reducing its environmental footprint.

One of the key contributions of the printing industry to sustainability lies in its advancements in renewable resources and recyclable materials. Companies are increasingly utilizing sustainable paper sourced from responsibly managed forests or recycled fibers, minimizing deforestation and reducing waste. Furthermore, innovations in eco-friendly inks, such as soy-based or vegetable-based alternatives, have significantly reduced the industry’s reliance on harmful chemicals, mitigating pollution and improving air quality. Additionally, the adoption of digital printing technologies has led to reduced energy consumption and waste, as it enables on-demand printing, eliminating the need for large print runs and excess inventory. Overall, by embracing sustainable practices, the printing industry is demonstrating its commitment to environmental stewardship while continuing to meet the diverse needs of businesses and consumers.

This year, we’ve launched a new initiative, Sugar Sheet, the most sustainable copy paper available today!

  • Made from recycled sugar cane fibre.
  • Looks, feels, and performs just like paper made from trees.
  • Carbon-neutral certified.
  • Biodegradable and compostable.
  • Supports environmental, social and governance (ESG) initiatives.
